Day 18

Gooooooood Morning. 

Mmmm-hmm. Nope.

I woke up early this morning, at the time my alarm went off to take my medicine and as I pawed the nightstand to find my pills, I realized I left them downstairs last night after refilling my pill container. :( 

So instead of taking my medicine, hitting the snooze button and sleeping for another half an hour like I usually do, I had to actually wake up and go downstairs. But for efficiency's sake, I got dressed first. #FirstWorldProblems - I know.

However, that means you get OOTD early today! #Yay!

This outfit is new to me, but it's a little bit big. I'm debating asking my mom (the sewing master) to take it in for me somehow, but I'm not sure if she can. I don't know if I'm going anywhere or not today, but it's going to be another hot one, and this dress is perfect for hot weather. 

And it has POCKETS!!!

I know, we're SHOCKED, right?

It's very comfortable, it's a linen layer over a nylon/polyester mix on the underskirt, so it's very light, breezy and soft but has that whole "summer blanket" feel to it if you DO get cold in A/C. 

I've worn this out in public exactly once.

Y'all - I might seem confident, but I have insecurities too. This dress is one where I'd be watching for other people's reactions and daring them to say something to me so I could take them down. lol. 

I would pair this with olive or lilac tieks, but I don't have those colors (YET), so I decided to go with metallic bronze, mostly because when I looked over at my desk, I saw these amazing earrings from Amy Welch. So I decided to go with those. (No, I haven't made it through my entire tieks collection yet, but that's ok, we're repeating.) 

These bronze leaf leather earrings from Amy Welch decided the Tieks of the Day. Aren't they adorable?

Welcome to blooper land. This is my face when I realized the camera was taking a picture. lol.

So I was trying to get this to spin, and I have no idea what I was doing with my face, but whatever! lol. 

The next several pictures are of me trying to get the earrings and my face in a shot and FAILING MISERABLY. lol. Instagrammers make it look so easy. It's really not. Especially when you have a chubby face. LOL. 

Trying to get the earrings in this shot. Also, don't mind my REALLY MESSY ponytail, I just threw it up this morning to get it out of my face. I hadn't even brushed my hair at this point. LOL. 

I was starting to have fun with it when I took this picture. lol. I was also starting to get frustrated. I also realized I hadn't brushed my teeth yet. LOL! 

Fuzzy blooper land. I have no idea why sometimes my camera will focus perfectly and other times it decides to be a pain in my butt, but hey, it is what it is.
