Day 17

It's LAUNDRY DAAAAAAAAAY!

Stitch is like...if my soul were a cartoon. lol. 

As it's laundry day, I'm wearing a comfy soft blue and white striped tie dye jersey dress from Rainbow Shops. You can see my bralette peeking through the peephole, as IT'S LAUNDRY DAY and all my good bras need washed. haha.

Hair pulled back, cuz I need a shower, no jewelry cuz why bother? Razzleberry Tieks for a POP of color. Hey! They match my roses almost perfectly!!

Shout out to those from my tieks group who PM'ed me and had respectful discussions about religion, why you believe what you do and why you decided to PM me. All was respectful, kind and I appreciate that more than you know. 

Today's agenda includes laundry, shower(s), packing, cooking up some of the delicious jackfruit we cut yesterday. Oh! Which reminds to me share. 

How cool is Jackfruit???

This is my husband Nathan. Everyone say, Hi Nathan! He looks skeptical here, but I promise he's not always looking like that. Yes, that is a machete. I mean, do you SEE the size of that fruit??

So to cut this bad boy, you need to oil your knife (because jackfruit is sticky!) and cut it into quarters. 

I swear, he has more than one face. lol.

This is the inside. The yellow part you eat. The middle core you cut out and it peels backwards making the yellow easier to get out. the white dots are seeds, that you can boil or bake and then eat. Apparently they taste like brazil nuts. We shall see. I hope so, because brazil nuts are my FAVORITE and I'd be stoked if that's true. 

You pop out the seeds from each pod and then you eat the delicious fruit. It tastes a bit like a melon, a bit like a mango, a bit like a banana, and a bit like juicy fruit. lol. It's really good as it, but there's a few recipes online that I'm going to try out too. I will freeze some for smoothies as well. There's a TON of it. We got 2 gallon sized ziplock bags of this stuff from this fruit. 

I've got pulled "pork" going in the crock pot right now for dinner tonight. Got to run to the store (or have Nathan stop on the way home) to get buns and some slaw/cabbage for toppers for it. 

So yeah. That's jackfruit! 

Now for the rest of the day, I have to pack more (moving, packing everything we don't need right away to get the house presentable) and organization and general cleaning. I need to find my living room, as it's currently covered in boxes, packing materials and so much SHI---stuff. I mean, it's always a mess, but this is ridiculous! 

I don't know why but I'm feeling spunky today! I guess that's good. 

I'm still listening to Artemis on Audible, it's really good and I recommend it for sure.
